Abstract

[en] In the management information system context, the implementation of an ERP system is always challenging. The goal of this project-thesis is to analyze the flows of a company and how these flows are integrated in a new ERP system. The studied company is the JD'C Group, a sheltered workshop located mainly in Grâce-Hollogne. This group is composed, on the one hand, by the Ateliers Jean Del'Cour, engaged in the packaging sector and in the electronic sector and, on the other hand, by JD'C Innovation, engaged in the composite components for the aerospace ant the defense industry.
The first part of this paper is dedicated to a theoretical overview of the ERP implementation, with a focus on the case of SMEs. Based on this theoretical aspect, the project of the JD'C Group is discussed. The reason for the change, the new chosen system and the planning of the project are criticized.
The second part of the project consists of a deep analysis of the different flows of JD'C Innovation, which is the first entity of the company to be launched on the new ERP system. Careful considerations have been given to the purchase-to-pay, the order-to-cash and the production processes. These analyses include firstly, a review of how the flows were managed in the former system and secondly, a review of how these flows are now managed on the new chosen ERP. In order to integrate all the flows, some specific developments have been brought to the ERP system with the aim of fitting to the reality of the JD'C group.
Finally, since the implementation has to be done in the other business units of the group, recommendations are given for ensuring that the project stays on track.
