Abstract
[en] In the aftermath of the financial and economic crisis, the priority for the European commission is to restore sustained economic growth.
However, a "smart, sustainable and inclusive" growth cannot be achieved without long-term financing. This precious resource is essential to encourage investments and build a more competitive economy.
In this context, the European Commission decided to create the European long-term investment funds (ELTIF). This new investment fund vehicle has been designed to increase the amount of non-bank finance available for companies and long-term projects in order to boost the investments in the real economy.
The aim of this work is to answer the following question: European long term investment funds, on the pathway for the growth?
