Abstract

[en] Investment is a broad term and can behave very diverse in different countries. It is a trigger to growth and essential in a globalized world. This thesis provides an analysis of investment between the three continental European countries, Germany, France and Belgium and the United Kingdom which is more isolated, not only due to the fact that it did not adopt the Euro. Differences and similarities will be analyzed especially when looking at volatility and with the use of a shift-share method.
