Abstract

[en] This work is dedicated to electricity prosumer communities and their challenges.
The first pages of the work introduce briefly the reasons that are leading the shape of the traditional grid to change. A description of the concepts and of the technologies associated with the figure of the prosumer is provided, in order to better understand its role. After this introductory part, we formalized a mathematical model to describe the dynamics of the community, such as power production, energy storage and power exchanges between the prosumers. The challenge involved in the control of the EPC is then contextualized, discussing the differences between centralized and decentralized schemes. The design of a distributed control mechanism has been then investigated, focusing the attention on the possibility to resort on machine learning approaches in order to try to follow an optimal behavior. An alternative decentralized strategy, easier to implement, has been also formulated. We presented a case study in order to analyze the characteristics and the limits of the control strategies developed. The results are finally discussed drawing some conclusions.
