Abstract

[en] In a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), the gear change is controlled by hydro-electronic systems.
The purpose of this master thesis is to improve the clutch pressure control.
For this purpose, the clutch is modelled on the basis of a system of equations in the time and frequency domain. The linearity of the equations system is ensured through a linearisation process. The clutch model stability is studied.
As the real clutch system can be seen as a black box, a system identification is performed based on the data from a test bench. Model consistency is analysed by comparing the results obtained with the test from the data and the results from the clutch model. Parameters are fine-tuned to get a better fitting between the test and the model.
A sate-space estimation is performed to estimate the states of the clutch system. After checking the system observability, a pole placement technique is used to obtain the gains.
To control the clutch pressure model, two controllers are designed in closed-loop. A controller is built to get a robust control and another one to get an optimal control.
Once the controller is designed, the clutch model is simulated using the Matlab and Simulink software. The performance of the clutch model is identified considering a controller, an observer and perturbation signals.
When the analyses on the simulation are completed, the clutch model is simulated in real time on dSPACE devices.
